- A chain rollback reversed about $111.2 million and removed nearly two hours of transaction history.
Cronos has confirmed that $9.19 million remains unrecovered after the August 30 Tectonic exploit.
The attacker manipulated Tectonic’s TONIC token price before borrowing $120.4 million across nine lending markets.
About $9.19 million had left Cronos before the network was halted and remains unrecovered.
Validators then rolled the chain back to the last block before the attack, reversing about $111.2 million in affected value.
The rollback removed one hour and 54 minutes of blockchain history, covering 10,961 blocks and reversing unrelated transactions.
Cronos resumed block production about 11 hours after the attack began, with balances restored to their pre-exploit state.
The team is still working with exchanges, bridges and other platforms, while its block explorer and public network tools are operational again.
