Cardano targets 2026 Dijkstra upgrade
• Cardano targets Dijkstra Phase 1 for mainnet by the end of 2026.
• Linear Leios and Nested Transactions are planned for the first phase.
• Ouroboros Peras is targeted for a separate Q2 2027 hard fork.
Cardano (CRYPTO:ADA) developers are targeting Dijkstra Phase 1 for mainnet by the end of 2026.
The first phase includes Linear Leios and Nested Transactions, with code completion targeted for the fourth quarter.
The roadmap dates are estimates, not guarantees, because testing and on-chain governance could extend the timeline.
Linear Leios would add Endorser Blocks that can reference extra transactions and receive certification from stake-based committees.
Phase 1 also includes PlutusV4 changes, new serialisation structures and parameters needed for the later Peras activation.
Ouroboros Peras is targeted for Q2 2027 through a separate intra-era hard fork after Dijkstra Phase 1 launches.
Amaru, an open-source Rust node implementation, is targeting mainnet block production in November 2026, while a constitutional amendment is targeted for submission by September 11.
