Bits of Gold, an Israeli crypto broker, is investigating unauthorised access to customer information through a third-party system.
The company said the incident may have exposed names, identification numbers, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses and bank details.
“There is no indication” so far that the potentially exposed information has been used, Bits of Gold said.
The company said funds, crypto assets, passwords, ID scans, full card details and CVV codes were unaffected.
Bits of Gold linked the incident to a wider cyber event involving software used by businesses worldwide.
Reports suggested about 200,000 customers may have been affected, but Bits of Gold has not confirmed that figure.
Bits of Gold said it blocked access, disconnected the affected system and hired a specialist cyber incident response firm.
