  • Bitget launched the UEX Futures League, a two-stage global trading competition covering crypto futures and traditional market CFDs with a total prize pool of 240,000 USDT.
  • The initiative supports Bitget's expansion into multi-asset trading following the launch of Stock+ and its MiCA licence application in Austria.
  • The exchange said the competition is designed to promote team-based trading while combining crypto and traditional financial markets on one platform.

Bitget said it has launched the UEX Futures League, a global trading competition offering a total prize pool of 240,000 USDT across crypto futures and contracts for difference (CFDs).

The tournament will run in two stages, with the crypto futures competition taking place from June 1 to June 30 and the CFD competition from July 1 to July 31, each carrying a prize pool of 120,000 USDT.

“Trading has always been competitive, but it’s also one of the most social parts of our industry,” said Bitget CEO Gracy Chen.

The exchange said the top eight teams from each stage will qualify for the invitation-only UEX Global Alpha Tournament, where 16 teams will compete in live trading sessions, with the top three traders from each team participating in the final.

Bitget said the league supports its Universal Exchange strategy of combining crypto and traditional financial markets within one platform, and following the announcement the company's privately held shares are not publicly traded.

The launch follows Bitget's introduction of Stock+, which the company said allows eligible users to buy US-listed shares using crypto that is converted into USD Coin (CRYPTO:USDC) before settlement through regulated brokers.

Bitget is also seeking regulatory approval in Europe after its Austrian unit applied for authorisation under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework, with the application remaining under review.
