Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) traded near US$66,300 as investors balanced strong gains in technology shares with a weaker Japanese yen and changing expectations for global interest rates.

Chip stocks continued to climb as demand for artificial intelligence remained strong, while the yen dropped to its lowest level in around four decades against the US dollar.

Analysts said Bitcoin remained stable even as investors focused on broader market moves, including the rally in semiconductor companies and currency markets.

Bitcoin showed little reaction during the session, suggesting traders were waiting for fresh economic data and signals from central banks before making larger moves.

Market participants continue to watch inflation, monetary policy and global economic conditions as they look for the next major driver of Bitcoin's price.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $65,930.54.
