Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) traded at $64,611 after Trump said the US was not negotiating with Iran.
Bitcoin moved between $64,005 and $64,926, leaving the $65,000 level just above its session high.
“The Naval Blockade remains in full force and effect,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Iran disputed Trump's claims about the Strait of Hormuz and said the waterway would remain closed.
Bitcoin gained about 0.6% while Brent crude rose 0.7% to $91.46 per barrel.
Strategy made no Bitcoin purchases or sales between August 10 and August 16.
The company held 840,447 BTC after selling Bitcoin for two straight weeks, according to its latest SEC filing.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $64,543.43.
