Binance reportedly plans to apply for a UK licence as new crypto rules take shape.
The move could allow Binance to restart some services for UK users in 2027, after years of restrictions.
A Binance spokesperson said the exchange “does not comment on speculation surrounding potential licence applications.”
The Financial Conduct Authority will accept applications from September until February 28, 2027.
The FCA’s new crypto regime is scheduled to begin on October 25, 2027, if the planned timetable remains unchanged.
The FCA said the framework would hold crypto firms to standards similar to other UK financial services providers.
Binance has faced UK restrictions since June 2021, when the FCA barred Binance Markets Limited from regulated activities.
