Aztec Labs relaunches zk.money for private payments
- Aztec Labs has relaunched zk.money on Aztec Network after three years.
- The wallet supports DAI, USDC and USDT deposits, with a $2,500 transaction cap.
- Private transfers hide balances, amounts and recipients, while Ethereum deposits remain public.
Aztec Labs has relaunched zk.money on Aztec Network, restoring private payments for Ethereum (ETH) users.
The self-custodial wallet hides balances, payment amounts and recipients once funds enter Aztec Network.
“The limits are in place as the system is new, experimental cryptography,” Aztec CEO Joe Andrews told CoinDesk.
Users can deposit DAI, USDC or USDT from Ethereum, with USDC and USDT converted to DAI.
“The most decentralized of the mass-market stablecoins used today on Ethereum,” Aztec CEO Joe Andrews said.
The wallet caps deposits, payments and withdrawals below $2,500 during its early Alpha phase.
Aztec Labs says the original zk.money served more than 75,000 wallets and processed over $100 million.
Following the update, ETH was trading down 0.1% at $2,685.43.
