
West African Resources reports 135,245 ounces gold sales

West African Resources (ASX:WAF) reported Q3 gold sales of 135,245 ounces at an average price of US$4,240 per ounce.
The result brought year-to-date group sales to 350,127 ounces of gold at an average realised price of US$4,550 per ounce.
Quarterly gold production reached 127,950 ounces across operations in Burkina Faso, comprising 51,920 ounces from Sanbrado and 76,030 ounces from Kiaka.
At the Sanbrado centre, M5 North open pit mined ounces grew 8% quarter-on-quarter following a 10% grade increase, while pre-strip material movement at Toega fell 4% to 1,689kbcm.
The company stated that overall production remains on track to achieve its full-year guidance of 430,000 to 490,000 ounces.
Following the announcement, the West African Resources share price was unchanged at $3.51.
The unhedged gold miner operates key mining sites at Sanbrado and Kiaka to drive core group production in West Africa.
The group recently commenced underground mining operations at M5 South to support its long-term project development goals.
