Digital and spatial data firm Veris (ASX:VRS) has secured a $4.1 million contract extension for survey work on the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport Project.

The new agreement extends work that the company originally secured in November 2023.

"Securing this extension on the SSTOM project is a strong endorsement of the work our team has delivered on the Western Sydney Airport project since 2023," said Veris Managing Director and CEO Michael Shirley.

The contract extension will see Veris deliver engineering survey, asset monitoring, and cadastral survey capabilities through to the end of 2027.

Veris stated that its secured forward workload now exceeds $60 million.

Following the announcement, the Veris share price was unchanged at $0.047.

The SSTOM package is being delivered by the Parklife Metro Consortium as part of a 15-year operation and maintenance contract.

The broader project aims to connect Western Sydney Airport to the regional Sydney public transport network.
