Infrastructure giant Ventia Services Group (ASX:VNT) secured a $107 million extension to its defence maintenance contract with the Australian Department of Defence.

The one-year deal ensures continuity of critical sustainment services effective from Dec. 1, 2028, and includes a strategic option for a further four-year renewal.

The extension underscores Ventia's pivotal role in national security, tasked with the high-level maintenance of advanced military assets, including tanks, surveillance systems, marine craft, and protected mobility vehicles.

Beyond technical repairs, the group will continue to operate its 24/7 nationwide vehicle and equipment recovery service, a core component of the Australian Defence Force’s operational readiness.

"For more than 36 years, we've supported defence capability," said Ventia CEO Dean Banks. "We remain committed to strengthening this partnership while exploring opportunities to broaden our services to meet the evolving needs of the ADF."

The contract further solidifies Ventia’s position as a premier sovereign partner, building on its recent $2.7 billion base services transformation win.

At the time of reporting, Ventia Services' share price was $5.46.
