Tivan (ASX:TVN) secured final regulatory and cultural heritage approvals to commence an 8,000m development drilling programme at its 100% owned Molyhil Tungsten Project in the Northern Territory.

The regulatory approval was granted by the Northern Territory Government alongside a Sacred Site Clearance Certificate from the Central Land Council.

Tivan Executive Chairman Grant Wilson commented, “Over the past year we have committed ourselves to advancing the project development pathway in rapid time, whilst also advancing project facilitation, inclusive of key processes with the Northern Territory Government and the Central Land Council, Traditional Owners and Native Title Holders.”

The multidisciplinary drilling programme will generate resource, metallurgical, geotechnical, and hydrogeological data to support feasibility studies, approvals, and development planning.

The project currently hosts a JORC-compliant resource estimate of 4.647 million tonnes containing 12,100 tonnes of tungsten trioxide and 4,400 tonnes of molybdenum.

Following the announcement the Tivan share price was unchanged at $0.21.

The company is progressing a pre-feasibility study after a scoping study completed in April 2026 delivered a pre-tax base case valuation of $534.3 million.

Tivan previously executed key terms for up to $50 million in stage-gated equity investment from Sumitomo Corporation and ETFS Capital while retaining an 82.5% project interest.
