Tennant Minerals reports gold and bismuth intersections at Bluebird
Tennant Minerals Ltd (ASX: TMS) has released diamond drilling results from its 100 per cent owned Barkly Project in the Northern Territory, identifying further mineralization at the Bluebird discovery.
Drill hole BBDD0050 intersected an 18-meter zone at 10.1 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq), including a 4.55-meter interval at 34.5 g/t AuEq.
Specific assay results within these sections reached up to 42.6 g/t gold, 12.2% bismuth, and 9.6% copper.
The company noted the significance of the bismuth grades in light of current market conditions, where the metal is trading at approximately $67,000 per tonne following Chinese export restrictions implemented in 2025.
“This exceptional intersection of gold, bismuth and copper has highlighted the potential to define and extend the high-grade gold with copper and bismuth zone, which is open to the west and down-plunge of the open-pit Mineral Resource,” said Tennant Minerals General Manager Chris Ramsay.
The new data suggests the mineralized ironstone may extend more than 400 meters beyond the previously defined high-grade zone.
Based on geophysical modelling, the company has applied for co-funding from the Northern Territory government to conduct further testing on a projected gravity high in the area.
