Tamboran delivers first gas sales from Beetaloo Basin
- Tamboran Resources and joint venture partner Daly Waters Energy have initiated initial gas sales from the Shenandoah South Pilot Project in the Beetaloo Basin.
- Production is slated to reach 40 terajoules per day under a long-term take-or-pay agreement with the Northern Territory Government by early 2027.
- The project provides localised fuel to the Northern Territory gas network, with gas sold at a discounted rate during the initial commissioning period.
Tamboran Resources (ASX:TBN) has commenced initial gas sales from its Shenandoah South Pilot Project, marking the first gas volumes delivered from the Beetaloo Basin to the Northern Territory market.
The milestone initiates regional supply from the basin under a long-term take-or-pay agreement with the local government.
"This marks a major milestone for the Beetaloo Basin, the Northern Territory and our key stakeholders, who will start to see the economic benefit of locally supplied energy," said Tamboran Resources Corporation CEO Todd Abbott.
During the ongoing commissioning period, supply will remain interruptible, and the company will sell the natural gas at a discounted price.
The business stated that project production is expected to ramp up to the full contracted volume of 40 terajoules per day by early 2027.
Following the announcement, the Tamboran Resources share price was unchanged at $0.28.
The company holds working interests across several exploration permits in the Beetaloo Basin, including EP 161, EP 76, EP 98, EP 117, EP 136, and EP 143.
The joint venture operates the Shenandoah South Pilot Project in partnership with Daly Waters Energy, LP.
