Synertec (ASX:SOP) confirmed the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation awarded its $45.5 million engineering services contract.

The eight-year deal matches 2.4 times the external revenue generated by Synertec's engineering division in FY26.

The initial 26-month design phase begins on Sept. 21 and is projected to deliver $36 million in revenue.

Synertec stated that project contribution margins are expected to exceed 25% while maintaining positive cumulative cash flow for over 90% of the programme.

Following the announcement the Synertec share price was unchanged at $0.082.

The contract forms part of the Nuclear Medicine Manufacturing Programme to construct a replacement radiopharmaceutical production facility at Lucas Heights, New South Wales.

Synertec will serve as the lead for process design, systems engineering, facility integration, and commissioning support services.
