Subiaco-based engineering firm Sprintex (ASX:SIX) has penetrated the high-growth South Asian market, announcing an exclusive distribution agreement with Kingsley Engineering Service to supply its proprietary G-Series Jet Blowers across Bangladesh.
The partnership targets the country's burgeoning wastewater treatment sector, encompassing both industrial effluent treatment plants and municipal sewage treatment plants.
The agreement is anchored by an initial US$50,000 purchase order, signalling immediate market traction.
The partnership operates under a performance-based exclusivity model, requiring Kingsley to meet escalating minimum purchase commitments over the next three years.
These targets commence at US$341,000 in the first year, rising to US$800,000 by year three.
To support the rollout, both companies have committed to a joint market development plan featuring technical training sessions commencing this quarter, alongside co-branding initiatives and customer delegation visits.
Bangladesh presents an opportunity for Sprintex, driven by rapid industrialisation in the textile, pharmaceutical, and food processing sectors.
With a population of approximately 178 million and only 20% of major urban residents currently connected to piped sewer systems, the demand for modern aeration solutions is critical.
At the time of reporting, Sprintex's share price was $0.077.
