  • Solis Minerals has started a five-hole diamond drilling programme at its Campo Grande Project in Brazil.
  • The initial exploration work targets a prospective 500-metre corridor to evaluate lithium potential.
  • The exploration campaign forms part of the business strategy to advance battery metal targets across South America.

Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has commenced a five-hole, 1,000-metre diamond drilling programme at its wholly owned Campo Grande Lithium Project in Brazil.

The new exploration work contrasts with recent operations at the nearby Mandacaru project, where the company recently completed seven drill holes to gather assay results for future targets.

CEO Mitch Thomas commented, "The initial programme will test the continuity, geometry and lithium potential of pegmatites beneath the surface, beginning in areas where mapped pegmatites coincide with LCT geochemical anomalies."

The campaign focuses on a 500-metre lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite corridor supported by surface geochemical anomalies and historical auger drilling.

Following the announcement, the Solis Minerals share price was unchanged at $0.07.

The company is concurrently conducting parallel exploration efforts, including active drilling at the Cinto Copper Project located in Peru.
