Rincon Resources (ASX:RCR) has bolstered the prospectivity of its Telfer South Project in Western Australia, identifying two major gold-copper targets following an extensive technical review of historic data.
The announcement, headlined by the expansion of the Hasties Gold-Copper Zone, reveals that the mineralised trend now extends over a 1.1km strike length.
The critical zone, located just 10km southwest of the world-class Telfer Gold Mine, remains open in both directions, suggesting further untapped potential.
Recent analysis of 478 historic rock-chip samples from Newcrest Mining’s former exploration activities confirmed high-grade results at the Hasties ‘Zone’ extension, with assays reaching up to 10.5 g/t Au and 0.13% Cu.
Further enhancing the project's value is the identification of the Padion target, situated approximately 4km northeast of Hasties.
The high-grade discovery covers a 450m strike and has yielded impressive historic surface samples of up to 10.9 g/t Au and 1.5% Cu.
Technical Director Michael Griffiths noted that the company has now likely captured all available historic rock-chip data and is currently integrating extensive soil sampling results to further refine exploration targets.
The activities are underpinned by a strategic multi-stage farm-in and joint venture agreement with Greatland Resources, signed in late 2025.
