  • RemSense Technologies received two new letters of award valued at $365,230 to deploy its virtual plant technology across two offshore Bass Strait platforms.
  • The deal expands the company's footprint with Woodside Energy to ten assets across Australia following an operational transition from Esso Australia.
  • Deployment of the visualisation technology aims to improve remote inspection and maintenance planning while reducing the need for physical site visits.

RemSense Technologies (ASX:REM) has secured two project awards total worth $365,230 to expand its virtual plant visualisation footprint with Woodside Energy (ASX:WDS) to ten total Australian assets.

The new contracts build on the company's existing footprint, which previously covered eight assets split between the NW Shelf and Bass Strait.

RemSense CEO Warren Cook said, "We established virtualplant within the Bass Strait operations under Esso, while RemSense has separately been working with Woodside since 2018.”

The contracts require the delivery of high-resolution reality capture, advanced LiDAR scanning, 360-degree photogrammetry, and visual twins for two newly transitioned Bass Strait offshore platforms.

RemSense stated that the additional asset deployments demonstrate the scalability of its virtual plant platform across major energy operations.

Following the announcement, the RemSense share price was up at $0.027.

Founded to supply digital asset visualisation services, the technology provider has maintained an active operating relationship with Woodside since 2018.

The company's project team is scheduled to mobilise to the two Bass Strait site locations starting on Sept. 13.
