Region Group delivers $268.8M net profit in FY26

Retail property owner Region Group (ASX:RGN) reported a full-year statutory net profit after tax of $268.8 million.

Funds from operations reached 16 cents per security, representing a 3.2% increase from the prior financial year.

“Supermarkets across the RGN portfolio continue to outperform with comparable MAT growth of 4.1% driving comparable portfolio MAT growth of 3.3%," said Region Group Managing Director and CEO Greg Chubb.

The trust refinanced over $1 billion in debt while portfolio occupancy increased to 98.1% across 380 specialty leasing deals.

Following the announcement, the Region Group share price was unchanged at $2.36 as management targeted ongoing organic growth.

For FY27, the company expects to record 3% growth to FFO of 16.5 cents per security and 3.0% growth to AFFO of 14.5 cents per security. The distribution payout ratio is expected to be approximately 100% of AFFO.

Region Group specialises in convenience-based shopping centres anchored by major Australian supermarket chains.

The trust manages a geographically diverse portfolio of community retail properties valued at $5.4 billion across Australia.
