  • PLC Resources has started reverse circulation drilling at its Rochefort Gold Prospect in Western Australia.
  • The exploration programme aims to test potential gold system extensions beyond initial margins.
  • Drilling targets strengthening mineral trends near New Murchison Gold's existing operations.

PLC Resources (ASX:PLC) has commenced a follow-up reverse circulation drilling campaign at its Rochefort Gold prospect to explore potential gold system extensions.

The programme follows initial drilling that intersected anomalous gold along the outer margins of the targeted structure.

The new exploration activities will focus on testing strengthening alteration, sulphidation, and pathfinder trends to the northwest and at depth.

Executive Director Simon Phillips commented, "This programme is designed to directly test that target, and because our approvals were already in place, we've been able to get back to it quickly.”

Located 21km north of New Murchison Gold (ASX:NMG) operations, the project sits within the mineralised Abbotts Greenstone Belt.

The exploration campaign seeks to confirm whether the identified trends connect to a larger regional gold system.

Following the announcement, the PLC Resources share price was unchanged at $0.007.

PLC Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on gold and base metal opportunities in Western Australia.

The company holds exploration assets across prospective regions, including the Abbotts North and Yalgoo Project locations.
