  • PlaySide Studios reported estimated gross sales of approximately US$1 million following the launch of Dumb Ways to Build.
  • Net revenue of US$0.6 million came in ahead of internal company forecasts.
  • Total wishlists across all platforms more than doubled to over 260,000 units to support future conversion plans.

PlaySide Studios (ASX:PLY) has reported estimated gross sales of $1.4 million across all platforms following the Sept. 10 launch of its new PC and console title, Dumb Ways to Build.

The initial sales total of approximately 150,000 units contrasts with the title's pre-launch campaign, which entered the market with around 100,000 Steam wishlists.

"Player ratings have been excellent, and the feedback we're receiving from our community is directly informing our post-launch roadmap, with new levels, expanded lobbies and user-generated content support on the way," said PlaySide Studios CEO Benn Skender.

Steam represented roughly two-thirds of total unit sales, while net revenue of $0.9 million beat internal projections despite a marketing campaign lasting less than one month.

The title achieved a peak of over 1,600 concurrent players on Steam during its launch weekend, and following the announcement, the PlaySide Studios share price was unchanged at $0.11.

The release marks the studio's first PC and console title built on its globally recognised Dumb Ways to Die intellectual property.

PlaySide stated that player feedback is actively informing its post-launch roadmap, which includes new levels, expanded lobbies, and user-generated content support.
