
Paul Lederer in talks to sell Real Dairy

Paul Lederer is reportedly in advanced negotiations to sell his family business Real Dairy Australia to US giant Schreiber Foods for an estimated $150-$200 million, according to a report from The Australian Financial Review.
The prospective buyer generates over US$7.5 billion in annual sales and employs 10,000 staff worldwide.
“They are very keen; we’re negotiating for a good price,” said Real Dairy Australia Founder Paul Lederer.
The deal excludes Real Dairy’s factory near Port Macquarie in New South Wales and requires approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Real Dairy reported a net profit of $6.7 million on revenue of $600 million for the year ended June 30, 2025.
The Lederer family built the western Sydney business over the past decade with cheese brands including Tuscany, Di Rossi, Bella, and Real.
Lederer previously accumulated wealth after selling Primo Smallgoods to Brazilian meat processor JBS for $1.45 billion in 2014.
