Orora (ASX:ORA) announced the appointment of Paul Victor as the company’s new CFO, effective Nov. 4.

The transition follows a comprehensive global search to succeed Shaun Hughes, who is departing after a six-year tenure defined by significant commercial and financial transformation.

Hughes, who recently relocated to France to oversee the integration of the Saverglass acquisition, has decided to remain in Europe permanently following the completion of his assignment.

He will continue to support the company over the coming months to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.

Paul Victor joins the packaging giant with a career spanning over thirty years, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic leadership within ASX-listed environments and various international markets.

His professional background includes executive roles at major industrial players such as Sasol and Incitec Pivot.

Most recently, he served as the CFO of Mainland Group, a subsidiary of Fonterra.

Orora Managing Director and CEO Brian Lowe praised Victor’s track record in driving organic growth and managing large-scale corporate transactions, noting that his expertise will be vital as the company continues to evolve its global operations.

Lowe also extended his gratitude to the outgoing CFO, highlighting Hughes' pivotal role in navigating global market pressures and steering major structural changes, including the acquisition of Saverglass and the divestment of Orora Packaging Solutions.

While Hughes departs for his next chapter in Europe, the appointment of Victor signals a new phase of financial leadership for the Melbourne-based firm.
