Orezone Gold (ASX:ORE) has announced an updated life-of-mine plan for the Casa Berardi gold mine featuring an after-tax net present value of US$1.05 billion.
The new outline projects average annual production of 116,000 gold ounces across 14 years at an all-in sustaining cost of US$1,877 per ounce.
"The result of the Life-of-Mine plan clearly underscores the opportunity and value proposition identified by Orezone in acquiring the Casa Berardi Mine. Its transformational acquisition positions the company as an established multi-asset producer, with a significant and fully funded growth profile," said Orezone Gold Corporation President and CEO Patrick Downey.
The updated strategy incorporates an initial ramp-up phase driven by investments in new equipment, open-pit waste stripping, and underground development.
Following the announcement, the Orezone Gold Corporation share price was up at $2.78.
The Canadian miner originally acquired the Quebec-based Casa Berardi gold operations in March to add multi-asset production capacity.
In addition to its Canadian operations, the company operates the Bomboré gold mine located in Burkina Faso.
