NRW Holdings (ASX:NWH) secured an initial $115 million contract through its subsidiary Fredon to construct cooling and ventilation systems for Stack's new data centre campus in Melbourne.

The initial award expands upon Fredon's prior civil and structural activity on the site, lifting the total project value awarded to the subsidiary to $300 million.

The company did not issue an executive statement alongside the contract update.

On-site construction for the ventilation and cooling systems will begin in September, with project completion scheduled for March 2028.

Following the announcement, the NRW Holdings share price was unchanged at $8.30.

The parent company expanded its building capabilities into specialised technical sectors like data centres, defence, and health infrastructure following its acquisition of Fredon.

The contractor has subsequently increased its presence across civil, mining, and urban infrastructure sectors to secure a higher percentage of recurring revenues.
