  • Morella completed rock chip sampling at the Mac Well Project, returning peak grades of 0.78% rubidium oxide and 0.71% lithium oxide.
  • Following the announcement, Morella's share price was unchanged at $0.027.
  • The company plans to use the surface sampling and soil anomalies to design a maiden drilling programme.

Morella (ASX:1MC) identified high-grade rubidium and lithium targets from rock chip sampling at its Mac Well Project.

The surface exploration programme yielded widespread mineralisation across the site, with 21 of 27 samples exceeding 0.1% rubidium oxide.

"These are encouraging early-stage results from Mac Well. What stands out is the consistency of the rubidium results, with 21 of the 27 rock chip samples returning grades above 0.1% Rb₂O, together with several meaningful lithium results," said Morella Managing Director James Brown.

The survey returned eight samples above 0.3% rubidium oxide, including results up to 0.48% and a peak sample of 0.78% rubidium oxide alongside 0.71% lithium oxide.

The combined soil and rock chip anomalies will guide upcoming mapping and sampling to outline targets for a maiden drilling campaign. Following the announcement, the Morella share price was unchanged at $0.027.

The Mac Well Project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Morella operates the project under a joint venture, holding a 51% stake alongside Elevra Lithium (ASX:ELV) with 49%.
