Middle Island Resources welcomes new CEO

Middle Island Resources (ASX:MDI) has appointed Peter Spiers as its new CEO, effective immediately.

Spiers previously served as Executive Chairman of Konstantin Resources, which was acquired by Middle Island, and brings over 30 years of experience in exploration, mine development, and operations.

He was also Group Manager of Business Development at WMC Resources and founding Managing Director of Orbis Gold, where he oversaw multiple gold discoveries in West Africa totaling 2.6Moz.

As CEO, Spiers will alternate his work between Australia and Serbia to advance Middle Island’s high-quality project portfolio.

Non-Executive Chairman Daniel Raihani said Spiers' leadership and industry expertise position the company to accelerate exploration across its Serbian tenements.
