
Matsa Resources receives $10M gold deposit
- Matsa Resources has received a $10 million deposit from AngloGold Ashanti for specific tenements at its Lake Carey Project.

Matsa Resources (ASX:MAT) received a $10 million deposit after AngloGold Ashanti Australia exercised an early option to acquire select tenements at the Lake Carey Gold Project near Laverton, Western Australia.
The payment follows a revised option agreement announced on 22 September 2026, which formalised AngloGold Ashanti's decision to proceed ahead of schedule.
Ministerial consent for the transfer has been granted, leaving a final completion payment of $45 million subject to third-party contractual consents.
The final $45 million consideration will be paid within 15 business days after all remaining conditions are satisfied.
Following the announcement, the Matsa Resources share price was unchanged at $0.047.
Matsa Resources continues to hold substantial gold exploration assets in Western Australia alongside mineral interests in Thailand.
