  • Marmota has discovered high-grade gold extensions at the northern end of its Greenewood deposit.
  • The announcement doubled the known strike length of identified high-grade gold zones at the project to over 2km.
  • Marmota aims to continue defining the open ore body as drilling intercepts show gold starting near the surface down to a depth of 240m.

Marmota (ASX:MEU) reported new drill results from its Greenewood programme that double the known strike length of high-grade gold to over 2km.

The latest batch of results tested northern extensions, contrasting with the first batch released 25 days earlier that targeted the southern Mainwood zone.

The company stated that the high-grade ore body remains open along strike and to depth, with no sign of diminishing.

Key intercepts included 8m at 11.5 grammes per tonne gold from 20 section lines along the northern extension.

Following the announcement, the Marmota share price was up at $0.078.

The Greenewood deposit now shows high-grade gold continuity starting from within 16m of the surface down to 240m depth.

Marmota continues to test the expanded structure as multiple drill holes returned intercepts exceeding 40 gramme-metres.
