
Marimaca Copper intersects 216m copper zone in Chile
- Marimaca Copper reported new drilling assay results at its Pampa Medina deposit, intersecting 216m of 0.96% copper and 7.2 grammes per tonne of silver.
- Shares in the dual-listed miner traded unchanged at $8.20 following the exploration update.
- Step-out drilling expanded the mineralised sediment horizon by 300m to the south and west.
Marimaca Copper (ASX:MC2) reported further drill results from its Pampa Medina deposit in Chile, returning 216m of 0.96% copper and 7.2 grammes per tonne of silver from a depth of 466m.
The central high-grade sulphide zone extends across a defined target area measuring 3km by 1.5km.
"Drilling on 150-metre centres returned consistent high-grade results," stated the company in its official release.
The drill hole SPRD-15 also contained a higher-grade section of 62m at 2.20% copper and 21.5 grammes per tonne of silver from 602m downhole.
Additional step-out holes extended the mineralised horizon 300m to the south and west.
Following the announcement, the Marimaca Copper share price was unchanged at $8.20.
The Pampa Medina deposit sits roughly 28km east of the company's flagship Marimaca Oxide Deposit in the Antofagasta region.
