Maiden 58,700oz gold resource declared at Forrestania’s Burracoppin Project
Forrestania Resources Limited (ASX: FRS) has reported a maiden JORC‑compliant Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate for its Burracoppin Gold Project in Western Australia.
The resource stands at 2,015,000 tonnes at 0.91 g/t gold for 58,700 ounces, providing the first formal view of the deposit’s scale and a foundation for further work.
Burracoppin sits within the company’s Westonia Gold Hub, about 27km west of Ramelius Resources’ Edna May processing facility, giving it proximity to existing regional milling infrastructure.
The resource is reported at a 0.5 g/t Au lower cut‑off and spans roughly 3km of strike across the Benbur–Christmas Gift, Easter Gift and Lone Tree zones.
The estimate is supported by 155 reverse‑circulation drill holes for 11,496m, incorporating both Forrestania and historical drilling.
Notable intersections include 3m at 17.41 g/t Au from 73m and 6m at 2.37 g/t Au from 31m.
Chairman David Geraghty said the MRE demonstrates the company’s ability to move beyond securing prospective ground to defining resources that can contribute to its Westonia‑centred gold strategy.
Forrestania estimates the acquisition cost at about A$14 per ounce of gold in the ground, which it views as a relatively low‑cost entry into the project.
