  • The acquisition aims to accelerate exploration and evaluate nine newly identified targets.

Macro Metals (ASX:M4M) completed its acquisition of the Yandi South Iron Ore Project on Oct. 14 for a consideration payment of $1 million.

The deal was finalised after Western Iron Ore provided geological information to support an accelerated exploration programme.

The newly received geological dataset includes 370 rock chip samples that show iron mineralisation across the tenure.

Analysis of the data revealed 20 samples with results above 60% iron, reaching up to 62.2% iron grade.

The transaction also enabled the company to identify nine new prospects for priority evaluation across the property.

Planning is well advanced for an inaugural drilling programme that includes diamond core drilling across target areas.

Following the announcement, the Macro Metals share price was unchanged at $0.006.
