
Lux Copper commences maiden drilling in Alaska

Lux Copper Corp (ASX:LUX) has started its maiden drilling programme at the Baird Copper Project in Alaska using two drill rigs.
The campaign represents the first drilling activity in this area of Alaska since 2012.
"We are thrilled to have commenced our maiden drilling programme at the Baird Copper Project, and we are looking forward to the incredible opportunity ahead of us," said Lux Chief Executive Officer James Warren.
The programme will systematically test high-priority targets at the Omar and Frost prospects to follow up on historical intercepts like 37.7m at 2.45% copper.
To support field operations, the company expanded its local exploration camp capacity from 15 to 30 people.
Following the announcement, the Lux Copper share price was up at $0.36.
The company also holds the adjacent Ambler Project, an unexplored 236-square-kilometre exploration asset in the Ambler Metallogenic Corridor.
