  • Lode Resources' high-grade discovery adds tin and copper at the Montezuma Project.
  • Assays from MZS43 returned 0.5m at 7.3% tin and 6.8% copper.
  • Drilling continues to expand the current maiden 8.2 million ounce silver equivalent resource.

Lode Resources (ASX:LDR) has identified a high-grade tin and copper discovery through drill hole MZS43 at its Montezuma Project in Tasmania.

The broad multi-metal intercept expands on the site's existing silver and antimony endowment, which was previously defined in an earlier exploration phase.

"The first assays from this highly mineralised lode have provided us with Montezuma's highest tin and copper grades to date," said Lode Resources Managing Director Keith Mayes.

Drill hole MZS43 intersected four separate mineralised lodes, including a 0.5-metre interval returning 7.3% tin, 6.8% copper, 863 grammes per tonne silver, 1.8 grammes per tonne gold, 2.1% antimony, and 4.0% lead.

The company stated that the ongoing drilling programme is testing whether the new zones can materially enhance the scale and economics of the project.

Following the announcement, the Lode Resources share price was unchanged at $0.125.

The Montezuma deposit holds a maiden resource of 8.2 million ounces of silver equivalent, which was first announced on April 14.
