Lefroy Exploration raises $3.6M to fast-track gold projects

Share

West Australian gold explorer Lefroy Exploration (ASX:LEX) secured firm capital commitments to raise approximately $3.6 million (before issue costs) via a targeted share placement to institutional and sophisticated investors.

The substantial capital injection is earmarked to immediately accelerate critical scoping studies and evaluation activities at the company’s flagship 400,000-ounce (400koz) Mt Martin Gold deposit.

Furthermore, the funding will finance targeted drilling campaigns designed to extend and upgrade both Mt Martin and the high-grade 100,000-ounce (100koz) gold core located at the Burns deposit.

Lefroy’s board of directors has personally committed an aggregate sum of $317,570 to participate in the capital placement, which remains subject to customary shareholder approval.

Lefroy Chairman David Kelly expressed sincere gratitude for the ongoing support from the investment community, particularly emphasising the contributions of long-term shareholders.

Kelly noted that the additional equity allows the explorer to sustain strong operational momentum on the ground whilst awaiting impending cash flows from the lucrative Lucky Strike profit share agreement.

The upcoming Mt Martin scoping study, underpinned by a recently announced resource upgrade, aims to identify a clear, definitive commercial development pathway for the asset.

With exploration activities, advanced economic studies, and anticipated revenue streams all converging, executive leadership fully expects to deliver value realisation and returns for company shareholders over the course of the next twelve months.

At the time of reporting, Lefroy Exploration’s share price was $0.14.
