  • Kuniko completed 1,324m of diamond drilling across five holes to expand the mineralised system at Silica Hill.
  • The expansion extended the interpreted mineralised footprint by 100m beyond its previously defined boundaries.
  • The campaign aims to support an upgraded mineral resource estimate for the Commonwealth Project in December.

Kuniko (ASX:KNI) expanded its Silica Hill mineralised footprint by approximately 100m following the completion of 1,324m of Phase 2 diamond drilling at the Commonwealth Project in New South Wales.

This latest campaign builds on Phase 1 results from hole CMKNI004, which intersected high-grade mineralisation, including a 0.5-metre massive sulphide vein returning 20,603 grammes per tonne of silver and 27 grammes per tonne of gold from 227.5m depth.

“Phase 2 drilling continues to build our confidence in the scale and continuity of the Silica Hill mineralised system,” said Kuniko Managing Director Maja McGuire.

The latest drilling intersected a broad 70-metre downhole zone of disseminated sulphides in hole CMKNI010, alongside individual sulphide veins up to 50cm thick in hole CMKNI011.

Laboratory assays for the current Phase 2 programme remain pending and are expected over the next four to six weeks.

Following the announcement, the Kuniko share price was unchanged at $0.025.

The Silica Hill prospect forms a key component of the broader Commonwealth Project located within the mineral-rich Lachlan Fold Belt.
