Kincora Copper (ASX:KCC) announced an expansion and the commencement of advanced geophysical exploration at its wholly owned Cowal East Project.

Located in the Macquarie Arc of Central West New South Wales, the project sits within the Cowal Igneous Complex, a premier geological district hosting Evolution Mining’s (ASX:EVN) flagship Cowal gold mine.

The company has increased its land tenure by 40% through the consolidation of the southern extension of the Jemalong licence.

The enlarged landholding, now covering approximately 100km2, represents a portfolio that has seen no fieldwork for over a decade despite its proximity to world-class deposits.

The region is highly endowed, with an estimated regional capacity of over 20 million ounces of gold and 5 million tonnes of copper.

Kincora has initiated a dual-track geophysical program. This includes a traditional comprehensive ground gravity survey to ensure consistent coverage across the full Jemalong licence and infill data for known prospect areas.

Parallel to this, the company has formed a cutting-edge partnership with Atomionics.

The collaboration will deploy "quantum" ground gravity technology combined with AI interpretation, marking the first on-ground exploration in this specific area for years.

President & CEO Sam Spring noted that while the Cowal Igneous Complex has historically attracted major investment, the Cowal East Project remains relatively underexplored.

The new sole-funded exploration phase aims to test confirmed intrusive-related gold systems within this tightly held, world-class terrane.
