Kalgoorlie Gold Mining (ASX:KAL) has fast-tracked reverse circulation and aircore drilling programmes at its Pinjin Gold Project in Western Australia.

The new exploration phase builds on recent assays from Lighthorse that peaked at 19.70 grammes per tonne of gold in fresh rock.

The programme includes up to 22 reverse circulation holes at Lighthorse and 120 aircore holes averaging 40m in depth across a 400-metre by 100-metre grid pattern at the Rebecca Sequence.

Reverse circulation drilling began on Oct. 12, while aircore drilling is scheduled to start around Oct. 20.

Following the announcement, the Kalgoorlie Gold Mining share price was unchanged at $0.018.

The Lighthorse program tests continuity across a 1.6-kilometre strike length, while the Rebecca Sequence program provides first-pass testing 16km north of Ramelius Resources' (ASX:RMS) 1.4-million-ounce Lake Rebecca Gold Project.
