Jameson Resources (ASX:JAL) has completed the retail component of its entitlement offer to raise approximately $5 million before costs.

The retail offer allowed eligible shareholders to subscribe for 1 new share for every 5.5 existing shares held at an issue price of $0.035 per share.

"The funds raised through the Institutional entitlement offer, retail entitlement offer and placements enable Jameson to accelerate Crown Mountain approvals, advance Indigenous partnership agreements and progress engagement with prospective steelmaking customers," said Jameson Resources Managing Director Michael Gray.

Retail investors submitted valid applications for 77,312,122 new shares, while over 50 million additional shares were requested under the top-up facility, leading to a scale-back that capped top-up allocations at 23,352,816 new shares.

The transaction brings the total capital raised across institutional, retail, and placement offers to more than $9.7 million.

Following the announcement, the Jameson Resources share price was unchanged at $0.037.

The company holds a 78.2% equity interest in Crown Mountain Resources, which owns the Crown Mountain Coal Project located in British Columbia, Canada.
