
Invictus Energy awards key well services contract to SLB
- Invictus Energy has contracted SLB to provide key well services for its upcoming Musuma-1 drilling campaign.
- The operational agreement keeps the company on schedule to commence spudding activities in November.
- Invictus aims to leverage SLB’s technical equipment and continuity from its previous Mukuyu-2 drilling programme.
Invictus Energy (ASX:IVZ) signed an agreement with SLB (NYSE:SLB) to supply specialised well and drilling services for the Musuma-1 well campaign.
The contract follows operational progress at the project site, including active construction of the Musuma-1 wellpad and civil works.
"Securing SLB completes another critical component of the Musuma-1 campaign and significantly advances operational readiness ahead of drilling," said Invictus Energy Managing Director Scott Macmillan.
The agreement covers the provision of specialised equipment, technology, and operational resources, while Exalo has commenced maintenance on Rig 202.
Equipment preparation, logistics, and mobilisation are underway to support the target November 2026 spud date.
Following the announcement the Invictus Energy share price was unchanged at $0.059.
The exploration company holds a portfolio covering 360,000 hectares within the Cabora Bassa Basin in Zimbabwe.
The asset portfolio includes license SG 4571 alongside EPOs 1848/49, containing the Mukuyu Gas Field and multiple basin margin prospects.
