Heartland Group reports FY26 net profit of NZ$93.2M

Heartland Group (ASX:HGH) reported a net profit after tax of NZ$93.2 million for the financial year ended June 30.

Underlying net profit after tax reached NZ$90.4 million, representing an increase from NZ$46.9 million.

Operating expenses were NZ$196 million, while net operating income came to NZ$361.9 million.

Heartland has invested in technology programmes in New Zealand and Australia to transform the technology and operating environments of Heartland Bank and Heartland Bank Australia by improving efficiency and simplifying the technology used by each bank to enable scalable growth.

The company declared a final dividend of 3.5 cents per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 7 cents per share.

Following the announcement, the Heartland share price was up at $1.02.

Heartland’s priority for the financial year ending June 30, 2027 is on continuing to improve shareholder return by growing ROE to at least 7.5% and lifting profitability to at least $102 million.

Heartland operates as a specialist financial services group focused on niche lending across New Zealand and Australia.
