Havilah Resources finds widespread copper at Birksgate

Havilah Resources has reported significant stratabound copper mineralisation following an 11-hole reverse circulation drilling program at its Birksgate prospect in South Australia.

The program successfully intersected mineralisation on the eastern limb of the Birksgate anticline, approximately 6 km from the project's original discovery site.

"This indicates a potentially large untested target area for stratabound copper mineralisation, including more than 50 km strike length of the target prospective horizon based on our interpretation of the aeromagnetic data," said Havilah Resources Technical Director Dr Chris Giles.

Standout drillhole BKRC013 returned 26 metres of 0.14% copper from 120 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 3 metres at 0.38% copper.

The copper mineralisation is associated with elevated gold and molybdenum, confirming a geochemical signature consistent with the company's nearby Kalkaroo deposit.

Drilling also encountered manganese-rich footwall rocks in the core of the anticline, which the company suggests may indicate a distal skarn mineralising system.

Future exploration will focus on locating favourable structures where disseminated mineralisation could potentially reach higher grades across the 8 $km^2$ prospect area.

At the time of reporting, Havilah Resources' share price was $0.62.
