Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR) expanded its Lincoln Gold Project footprint by 24.3 hectares. The transaction represents the first surface footprint expansion at the location in approximately twenty years.

Haranga stated that the purchase agreement includes both surface and deep mineral exploration rights.

The company claims the added space will provide greater flexibility for extending underground decline access.

Chairman Michael Davy commented, "Lincoln is already a compelling gold opportunity, hosting a JORC mineral resource of ~400,000 oz and an exploration target within a project that has produced over 3 million ounces historically."

Following the announcement, the Haranga Resources share price was unchanged at $0.084 as drilling preparations continue.

Haranga reported the existing California site hosts an estimated 402,000 ounces of gold.

Previous capital investments at the operation have included an 880-metre Stringbean Alley decline.
