Greenvale Energy (ASX:GRV) announced an operational breakthrough at its flagship Alpha Torbanite Project in Queensland, completing Milestone 3 of Test Programme 7.

The critical phase marked the conclusion of bulk sample production through pressure leach liquefaction, achieving high conversion and recovery rates that mirror previous optimal results.

As Australia grapples with a tightening bitumen market and a persistent reliance on international oil-derived products, the Alpha Project represents a strategic domestic asset, boasting a JORC-compliant resource of 28 million tonnes—the equivalent of approximately 27.7 million barrels of synthetic oil.

The primary objective of TP7 remains the production of a high-quality bituminous product capable of meeting independent C-170 certification standards.

Following the conclusion of contract work with Monash University, preliminary samples have been dispatched to Technix in New Zealand for rigorous product characterisation and initial assessment.

The partnership is designed to establish a clear technical pathway for downstream refinement and eventual certification.

Greenvale Managing Director Alex Cheeseman noted that the engagement with Technix marks the culmination of several years of intensive research and development.

At the time of reporting, Greenvale Energy’s share price was $0.038.
