Great Southern Mining launches WA gold drilling campaign

Share

Great Southern Mining (ASX:GSN) commenced a major drilling campaign across its highly prospective Western Australian gold assets.

The centrepiece of the exploration push is an extensive 20,000-metre reverse circulation drilling programme scheduled to kick off this week, focusing primarily on expanding emerging discoveries at the Golden Boulder and Amy Clarke projects.

Current mineralisation footprints at Golden Boulder span over 3.5km, while Amy Clarke extends across 4.7km, with both structures remaining completely open along strike and at depth.

GSN reported results from a standalone diamond drill hole at Golden Boulder.

The hole extended the known mineralised zone by 40m down-dip, encountering notable intercepts, including 2.25m at 2.04 grammes per tonne of gold from 108.94m, which featured a higher-grade interval of 0.72m at 4.07 g/t gold.

The intersection structurally confirms that Golden Boulder represents a continuous mineralised system with significant depth potential situated within a major shear zone.

The upcoming campaign will also target the Mon Ami Gold Project, located south of Laverton, which hosts an existing JORC-compliant mineral resource of 1.56 million tonnes at 1.11 g/t gold for 55,500 ounces.
