Great Southern Mining (ASX:GSN) commenced a high-impact diamond drilling campaign at its 100% owned Golden Boulder discovery, situated within the Duketon Gold Project in Western Australia.

The strategic exploration phase marks a milestone for the company, as it features the first diamond drill hole in the area to penetrate beyond a depth of 155m.

The program is designed to investigate deep-seated geological structures suspected of fueling the multiple lines of shallow gold mineralisation previously identified at the site.

One of the primary targets is a co-funded hole reaching depths of up to 700 metres at the Ogilvies location, supported by the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme.

A second diamond hole will focus on the Main Line mineralisation, which boasts a 3.5-kilometre strike and historical high-grade intercepts, including 5m at 14.57 g/t Au.

GSN is preparing for a massive 10,000 to 15,000-metre drilling blitz across its regional portfolio, including the Amy Clarke discovery, scheduled to begin in late April.

The company recently concluded an 800-metre EIS co-funded hole at the Diorite Hill Layered Intrusive Complex, where core logging is currently underway.

The exploration efforts are underpinned by a robust balance sheet, following a $4.6 million equity capital raising completed in March.
