  • GenusPlus Group signed a contract with Atmos Renewables worth approximately $135 million.
  • The contract expands the company's Western Australian infrastructure portfolio as the state moves to exit coal-fired power by 2030.
  • Completion of the design and construct works is scheduled for 2028, subject to project conditions.

GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) secured a design and construct contract valued at approximately $135 million from Atmos Renewables for electrical works at the Parron Maam Marang Farm project.

The agreement covers a 330kV terminal, 330kV transmission lines, and ancillary works within the substation for the overall 470MW Western Australian project.

"Genus has worked closely with Atmos and is pleased to have been selected by Atmos Renewables to deliver this important package of electrical infrastructure works for the Parron Maam Marang Farm," said GenusPlus Group Managing Director David Riches.

Work on the construction phase remains subject to conditions precedent, including Atmos Renewables achieving project financial close, executing Connection Agreements, and issuing the Notice to Proceed.

Following the announcement, the GenusPlus Group share price was up at $9.30.

The project expands on an existing relationship between the two companies, following their previous collaboration on the Merredin BESS Project.

The development is supported through the Federal Government's Capacity Investment Scheme as Western Australia prepares to phase out coal-fired power by 2030.
