Falcon Metals (ASX:FAL) secured all regulatory approvals to conduct the first-ever maiden drill programme at the Errabiddy Gold Project in Western Australia.

The project covers a strike extent along the Errabiddy Shear Zone where previous systematic exploration had identified gold-in-soil anomalies without any prior drilling.

"Regulatory approvals were secured for first ever drilling of the Olsen Well target after the heritage survey was completed," said the Falcon Metals Managing Director.

The upcoming reverse circulation drilling programme is scheduled to commence during the current quarter following an advanced tender process.

Following the announcement, the Falcon Metals share price was down at $0.46.

West Coast Silver (ASX:WCE) previously entered an agreement granting Falcon the right to earn up to a 70% interest in exploration licence E09/2457.

The joint venture area is situated approximately 220km northwest of Meekatharra and spans a regional geological setting prospective for orogenic gold.
