  • Evolution Energy Minerals has commenced reverse circulation drill testing on priority copper targets at its Chikundo prospect.
  • The exploration update provides direct operational progress on the company's high-priority copper project in Tanzania.
  • The reverse circulation programme aims to test defined soil geochemistry anomalies to establish the scale of the copper system.

Evolution Energy Minerals (ASX:EV1) has commenced reverse circulation drill testing on priority copper targets at its Chikundo Project.

The exploration campaign follows completed soil sampling programmes that previously defined four high-priority copper target areas across the prospect.

"While it has taken longer than we had anticipated to secure a contractor, with the rig now on site and operating, our team can focus on safely executing the programme and generating the data needed to assess the scale and continuity of the Chikundo copper system," the company said in a statement.

The reverse circulation drilling programme is scheduled to test 17 planned drill holes designed to evaluate the subsurface potential of the primary geochemical anomalies.

Following the announcement, the Evolution Energy Minerals share price was unchanged at $0.010.

Evolution Energy Minerals is an Australian mineral exploration company primarily focused on developing sustainable graphite and battery materials at its Chilalo Project in southern Tanzania.

The business continues to evaluate downstream value-added graphite processing while expanding its copper exploration footprint across its surrounding Tanzanian tenure.
